My name is Khadijah Haliru

I’m running to be your voice in Oxford County. I’m not here to play politics as usual—I’m here to bring real change because I’ve seen firsthand how deeply broken the system is and how much our community needs a change.

I’ve worked in our schools, championing anti-bullying and anti-racism initiatives, but more importantly, I’ve felt the pain of families and workers struggling in every part of our community. I’ve seen teenagers give up on college because they can’t afford it. I’ve seen healthcare workers leave their jobs and our province because of underfunding and relentless cuts. I’ve seen teachers stretched to their limits, taking on more responsibilities just to care for our kids. And I’ve seen families desperately trying to support children with disabilities, often left to do it alone.

This isn’t just a failure of leadership, it’s a failure of priorities. The Ford government has left behind a generation of young people, families, and workers, and we’re all paying the price. Oxford deserves better.

I’ve lived the challenges you face. I’ve worked on council, fought for funding for critical infrastructure, and advocated for better housing, transportation, and mental health support. I know what it means to confront barriers head-on, and I’m ready to make the case for our community at Queen’s Park.

This election isn’t just about a political party, it’s about the future we want to build. We must prioritize education, healthcare, housing, and the basic rights that every person in Oxford deserves. Together, we can demand better outcomes for our families, our workers, and our seniors.
