Matthew was raised in a hard working, middle class family. He is a strong advocate for workers’ rights both in the automotive and agricultural sectors. Over the past few years, he has worked tirelessly as a member of various community organizations to bring people together and improve the quality of life in Oxford County.
From standing with striking automotive workers, volunteering with the Kiwanis Club and the Oxford Social Planning Council, or advocating with environmental groups such as Oxford People Against the Landfill, Matthew brings a passionate leadership to everything he does.
Matthew lives in Ingersoll, enjoys visual arts, nature walks and outdoor activities. He also enjoys practicing and teaching karate, and carries a 2nd degree black belt and the title of Sensei.
