April showers bring May flowers!

April showers bring May flowers!

Big things happened in the month of April in Oxford County. And your local NDP riding association has been hard at work. If you managed to make it out to any of the events—Thank you! If you missed out, don’t worry—there’s more to come!

Our Federal Candidate:
Congratulations to MATTHEW CHAMBERS, our Federal NDP Candidate for the Oxford Riding!
Matthew has been a life-long resident of Ingersoll, and has been actively involved in the local riding association and the Oxford Community. He is ready to bring the Orange Wave to Oxford County, “We really want to show people our grassroots ideas. We don’t get big campaign contributions from corporations from big party spenders, New Democrats are no strangers to having to do more with less. We look forward to the challenge…”

Town Hall on Healthcare:
Our first Town Hall on Healthcare on April 23 was hosted with Teresa Armstrong, MPP for London-Fanshawe. A big thanks goes out to UNIFOR 636 for allowing us the use of their space to hold our well-received meeting. Teresa talked about the newly released budget, and listened to stories from those gathered. She encourages us to keep the pressure on the Ford Government, “keep those petitions coming, hold demonstrations, write letters to your MPP.” She also said that she has never seen so many people on the lawn at Queen’s Park since she was elected in 2011. We are the people, and the Legislature is OUR House!
